It's obvious everyone is starting to think the lockout is coming to an end... 62 sign-ups for Green Legion trips yesterday ALONE!!  Thank God!!  And, I met a bunch of new friends from Butte, Montana, home of the Eagles Colt Anderson and the reason our Seattle trip has just taken off in a BIG way!!  I am not going to bore you with my incessant rambling this week.  I am simply getting right to it!  There is a lot of good stuff you are about to read and we are all very excited about the upcoming month.  We hope you take the time to at least read our topics and see what might pertain to you!!

In this Issue:

ZACH BUNNEY BENEFIT AND MY MONTANA LEGIONNAIRES!!

I hope you guys always know that we try to take care of the family and over the last week I have had the pleasure of welcoming someone new to this group.  His name is Bill Robinson and he is from Butte, Montana, home of our specials teams captain Colt Anderson.  Bill reached out to us with a benefit for one of their own by the name of Zach Bunney.  Unfortunately this world is filled with people fighting for their lives and this situation is no different.  We were actually considering not running our trip to Seattle this year with a strange Thursday date and the lockout not helping matters, but Bill has certainly recharged my battery with his story and his group and what they have done today.  If any of you ever have the chance to meet him or those who decide to join us in Seattle, thank him for saving the day!  Bill, I am hopeful you are the first to read this and I'd like to tell you publicly that in addition to the amount we have already promised you for Zach, The Green Legion, its members, and its staff would like to add an additional $500 to that number.  We are looking very forward to meeting all of you and seeing Zach on the road to recovery.

It's amazing sometimes what you can expect and at the same time what you never see coming.  We will support this cause as long as it requires support.  Legionnaires, so many of you recently donated to my sister's cause and I can't thank you enough and I also don't wish to ask you of anything else.  If you feel like this is something you would like to help, please read further.  There will be a silent auction of items as well and if you have anything you would be willing to donate, by all means.  You can reach Bill by email at bill.robinson@mse-ta.com or his cell at 406 490-2455.

STAY STRONG ZACH!!

ZACH BUNNEY BENEFIT

On July 28, 2011 we will join hundreds of others at the Maroon Activity Center (MAC) in a fundraising effort to benefit Zach Bunney who has been recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  AML is a type of cancer that starts inside bone marrow, the soft tissue inside bones that helps form blood cells.  The cancer grows from cells that would normally turn into white blood cells.

Zach, the son of Dana Bunney and Tom Bunney, has finished his sophomore year at Butte High School.  Zach is a good student with a great personality and a contagious smile.  He is also an incredible athlete who has the drive to always do better.  His love for sports has made him a football, basketball, and baseball player, and was on the varsity track team at the time of his diagnosis.

Zach is now receiving treatment for AML in Spokane, Washington by undergoing the first phase of treatment called induction chemotherapy.  Induction chemotherapy usually lasts 7 to 10 days and is very intense.  Zach's recovery from induction chemotherapy will generally last three or more weeks; after which, he will undergo consolidation chemotherapy.  Beyond that, Zach may be required to a undergo bone marrow or cord blood transplant.

Zach is "Butte Tough" to his core and is literally fighting the battle of his life.  It's our goal to help Zach win this fight by providing support to he and his family, including raising money to help cover the financial costs associated with his treatment and recovery.  We are asking you to help Zach Bunney in his fight against Leukemia and donate either cash or items for the fundraising event in July.

The folks at Mariah's Challenge are getting involved as well! Your donation is tax deductible – if you are making a cash contribution, simply make the check payable to Mariah's Challenge and notate in the memo field "Zach Bunney Benefit".   Mariah's Challenge's tax ID is 26-1919416. http://www.mariahschallenge.com/

Thank you in advance for the contribution you've made.  We hope to see you at the Zach Bunney Benefit Auction on July 28th!

GIRLS OF THE GREEN LEGION 2012 CALENDAR CASTING CALLS!!

...AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN HOW WE HAVE DONE THINGS IN THE PAST!!  This year, it's time for change!  This year, I'm not dealing with 25 girls saying they are showing up for a bikini contest and 10 walking through the door.  It's the most uncomfortable feeling when you have 200 people in a bar waiting to see that!!

So, brand new way of attaining our beautiful "talent" this year and I believe it will encourage many girls who wouldn't normally come out.  NO NEW TAXES AND NO F'ING BIKINI CONTESTS!!  Lol... This year we simply want you as potential Green Legion Girls to come out to one of our casting call locations and meet us.  Bring a bathing suit, but come dressed to impress because I think you will like how this works.  There will be no microphones, no introductions, just myself, Marilyn, Alex, Tony, Brian, and Petri, sitting at a table inside one of 5 locations for our casting calls!!  These locations will be at bars you will see below.  You may have some fans clapping for you... But there will be no contests, no embarrassing introductions, no dancing, and no worries!!  You will come to one of 5 locations the week of August 15th and we will photograph you.  Your photos will go on our website and WHAT'S DIFFERENT THIS YEAR IS WE WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU, OUR LOYAL LEGIONNAIRES WANT TO SEE IN THE CALENDAR!!  And honestly, if Stever comes out in a bikini and gets enough votes, his a$$ is in it!!

At any rate, the first 6 girls will be selected by online voting!!  We will have a special section developed by August 22nd and the voting will last for a period to be determined!  The final 6 girls will be chosen by what we see during this week of casting calls.  We genuinely believe we will get more quantity to choose from and definitely more quality by removing the on stage contest element from the equation......

NOW, what does every selected Green Legion Girl get??!!...

TWO CRAZY WEEKENDS OF BIRDS, BEACH, AND BOOZE!!!  ALL FOR FREE!!!

Simply put, if you are one of our 12 models selected for our calendar, on October 16th, all of you will head to Washington DC for our annual Redskins Romp where you will enjoy charter bus service, a fully catered tailgate, and your game ticket to the Eagles/Redskins game!!

More importantly, that Friday, October 21st, you will all board American Airlines for your flight to Miami where myself and a large limo will be picking you up for a crazy weekend in SOUTH BEACH!!  Friday you must take it easy because Saturday morning you are going to be photographed for our calendar by top Playboy, Penthouse, Maxim, and FHM photographer Danny Steyn, a South African native and a resident of South Florida.  Danny is unparalleled with his approach to his work and you can ask any of our 12 girls from last year how much they enjoyed working with him!  You can check him out at http://www.dannysteyn.com!  Oh, did I forget to tell you that you will be staying at the WORLD FAMOUS CLEVELANDER Hotel and that is where the photo shoot will take place!  After Saturday when the shoot is over, we have a VIP Party for you with bottle service right next to the dance floor and a bar crawl through some of my favorite South Beach favorites!!  AND... that Sunday we have chartered a 60' yacht to take all of you fishing or a cruise through the Intercoastal Waterway!!  AND ALL OF THIS IS ON US!!  We pay for your flight, hotel, first night dinner, lunch buffet during the shoot, bottle service Saturday night, the bar crawl, the yacht, and in addition to this, you will also receive a $50 tanning allowance and a $100 food allowance!!  YEAH, WE DON'T MESS AROUND!!

For those of you who would like to come out and check out some of the sites during the casting call, Philly2Night has been kind enough to partner up with us on this to bring you 5 nights of casting and 5 NIGHTS OF OPEN BAR!!  $10 will get you a 2-hour open bar at any of these locations during the times you will see and the dates!!  These are all Green Legion Calendar Sponsor Bars and we hope you decide to come out and support them and take a look at some of Philly' Phinest!!

SPONSORSHIP TIME!!

With the end of the standoff on the horizon, we are in the midst of a 6-month stretch of crazy website statistics and even more popularity.  'Tis the season to be advertising!!  If anyone has any interest in hearing about sponsorship packages and hopefully how The Legion can help you "get the word out," please email me at quimby@greenlegion.com!

Always a pleasure and looking forward to seeing everyone next month!!
