Hello: ...but were afraid to ask!
Well, Charlotte, actually!
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR RESERVATION SYSTEM POPULATES YOUR NAME HERE SO THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL EMAIL FROM ME TO YOU...IT GOES OUT TO EVERYONE. ONLY RESPOND IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION THAT NEEDS ANSWERING BUT I SHOULD COVER MOST OF WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW.
I also always say these will be short and sweet, but they usually aren't, BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO QUESTIONS THAT WERE ALREADY ANSWERED HERE. We spend a lot of time preparing this and we expect you take 3-4 minutes to read this and get acclimated with the program. Appreciate you doing this in advance.
I'll give you bullet points to make it shorter:
* MARILYN IS WORKING ON GETTING OUT ALL HOTEL CONFIRMATION NUMBERS TODAY. SHE DID CATCH A FEW MISTAKES FROM THE HOTEL SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CALL THE OMNI, ASK FOR THE FRONT DESK, AND CONFIRM YOUR RESERVATION. CHANGES ARE EASIER TO MAKE NOW THAN THEY WILL BE WHEN WE ARRIVE. THE NUMBER IS (704) 377-0400!
* IN CHARLOTTE, YOU WILL RECEIVE TAILGATE BADGES AND WRISTBANDS, HOWEVER, North Carolina law states that all specials at bars (which are what the wristbands are for), must remain consistent and offered to everyone. For this reason, we don't need wristbands this weekend, but we will still give them out as souvenirs. ALSO, BECAUSE OF THIS, OUR FIRST CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING, IN THE LOBBY OF THE OMNI. Here is the schedule:
* 11 AM - 2 PM in the Lobby
* 6 PM - 7:30 PM in the Lobby
* 9 AM throughout the tailgate at Ink 'N' Ivy
* You will need your tailgate badges for Sunday morning so make sure you don't have to stand in line when you arrive at Ink 'N' Ivy and pick them up on Saturday!
* The tailgate location is Ink 'N' Ivy located at 222 S Church St, Charlotte, NC 28202!
* THE TAILGATE STARTS AT 9:30 AM, HOWEVER, NO ALCOHOL CAN BE SERVED UNTIL 10 AM!! This is North Carolina State Law. However, if I don't see the little airplane bottle of vodka or champagne you slip through with for your first drink, so be it. The buffet will be on in full force.
* THAT TAILGATE WILL GO ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL 1 PM!
* ALL GAME TICKETS ARE ELECTRONIC THROUGH TICKETMASTER. THEY WILL BE SENT TO THE GROUP LEADER AMONGST YOUR CREW AND THEY WILL DISPERSE THE TICKETS ACCORDING TO HOW YOU GUYS WANT TO SIT. I may not start sending all these out until Friday so don't be concerned if you don't see them in your account until Saturday.
* IF YOU PURCHASED YOUR FLIGHT THROUGH US FOR THE FRIDAY AFTERNOON FLIGHT, HEAD TO BAGGAGE CLAIM IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL. We will gather all of your bags and then direct you where to go for the bus to the hotel. Connie and I will both be on that flight so just listen for the idiot (me) yelling where to go.
NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOME FUN STUFF!!!
* SOCIAL SCHEDULE:
* FRIDAY STARTING AT 7 PM, WE HAVE A BAR CRAWL SET UP WITH 3 AWESOME PLACES AND CONSISTENT SPECIALS ACROSS THE BOARD
* $5.00 BUD LIGHT AND MICHELOB ULTRA TALL BOYS, $3.50 BUD LIGHT SELTZERS
* 7:00 - 8:30 PM, HOT TACO
* 8:30 - 10:00 PM, ALL AMERICAN PUB
* 10:00 PM UNTIL ???, SLATE BILLIARDS
* You can walk there from the hotel, but I don't advise...It will take you about 20 minutes. Take a $10 Uberx.
* SATURDAY ALL DAY AND PEP RALLY PARTY THAT EVENING!
* INK ' N' IVY IS OUR SPOT FOR THE ENTIRE DAY...STARTING AT 8 PM, WE WILL BEGIN OUR PEP RALLY PARTY!!
* JOINING US WILL BE HOLLIS THOMAS AND WILLIAM FULLER, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THERE MIGHT BE A CAMEO BY LITO SHEPPARD!
* SPECIALS ALL DAY WILL BE $3.50 BUD LIGHTS, BUD LIGHT SELTZERS, AND MICHELOB ULTRA
* THE FOX SPORTS RADIO PHILADELPHIA PREGAME SHOW WILL START AT 10 AM BROADCASTING LIVE FROM OUR TAILGATE LOCATION AT INK ' N' IVY WITH WILLIAM FULLER, HOLLIS THOMAS, MICHAEL DIAZ, AND MYSELF. Should be a fun listen!!
* SUNDAY AFTER THE GAME, INK 'N' IVY AGAIN FOR $3.00 BUD LIGHT BOTTLES ALL DAY!!
Everyone please remember, this is just a game and we aren't that good. NOTHING is worth getting into a fight over and these fans are pretty docile so if there's a fight down there, it's usually started by one of us. IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN ANY WAY. If you are part of something like this, you will be out of your hotel, game ticket zapped, and you will start trying to find an alternate way home if you flew with us. MAKE SURE THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!
Aside that, plenty to drink our 1 and 3 football sorrows away!! Reach out if I missed something and expect a few more of these before we head to Charlotte!!
