THE GREEN LEGION INVADES SEATTLE, DECEMBER 1ST, 2011!!

I can safely say that the last time I was here, I was pissed as hell.  If anyone recalls, the Eagles played the Seahawks in Seattle the Sunday after the Phillies won the World Series.  Due to that damn 40+ hour rain delay, game 5 wasn’t over until Wednesday night and guess who had to run that trip leaving Thursday morning.  I wound up watching Friday’s parade from my room on Slingbox (even though I did get to see and hear Chase say “WORLD PHU#%ING CHAMPIONS!!”

You will arrive in Seattle and take a cab from the airport and check into the Rennaisance Seattle Hotel.  This place is great with a very cool top floor bar and restaurant that overlooks the entire city and Elliott Bay, the Puget Sound, and Mt. Ranier.  The hotel recently went through a renovation in 2008 and it really stepped up to one of the better hotels in the area.

Needless to say, where my mind was somewhere else the last time, Seattle is a VERY cool town with plenty to do and a ton of great bars that we have worked with in the past and will be sure to please.  Best part is our hotel and the actual layout of the city itself.  Once you arrive, you can walk or cab.  Everything is within blocks including the tailgate locations and the stadium itself.  It’s kind of like living at the top of the wall in Manayunk.  You point straight down when you are heading out and have to climb some serious hills on the way back.  So walk down, cab ride up is what I say!

We will have our infamous bar crawl on Friday night.  Even though there will be no ramp up to the game, we will still dress in Eagles green and tear up the town!  We will start at Spitfire Grill, the head to the Frontier Room, and finally Belltown Billiards!  Saturday night we will have another party at one of my favorite Seattle watering holes in Pioneer Square (again, walking distance) at a place called Fuel!  Very close to the stadium and we will still chant like it’s our town because, well, it is whenever we arrive!!  There will be plenty of excellent specials to keep your money in your pocket and don’t forget about Pike’s Place Fish Market if you are a seafood fan of any kind.  Plenty of awesome little dive restaurants along that row with the best food you’ll eat.

Thursday afternoon’s tailgate will take place on the water at Red Robin where we had 200 people in 2008 and a very good time especially on the march into the stadium.  You would actually be surprised and how rambunctious Seahawks fans are.  They don’t like E-A-G-L-E-S in their face.  ALL THE MORE REASON TO DO IT AGAIN!!

Since the game is on a Thursday and not sure when people would want to go, we are eliminating flights from every package here and just telling you to get their on your own.  Makes sense for this one.  If you want to stay more than 4 nights (and you can selectttttttttt any nights you want), just contact Marilyn and she will get you set up.  Looking forward to you joining us!
