Ok, for anyone who doesn’t think I haven’t been waiting impatiently for this trip forever, you couldn’t be more mistaken! There are a thousand reasons behind this, but the two biggest ones are A) THAT I LIVE HERE and I don’t have to fly that weekend and B) THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST TRIP WE HAVE EVER RUN simply because of the knowledge I have of the area! I have lived here for over 4 years now and I know EVERY place and thing you want to do while you are here. I know every dive bar, every club, and every bar in between! I know every restaurant and every café! If there was ever a time to “tap” my knowledge of an area and just let me handle it for you, THE TIME IS NOW!!

Before we get into everything, we have been very lucky to secure many excellent hotels for this trip. The Clevelander is already sold out to Green Legion members BUT, we were able to secure rooms at the Essex House which is next door. We have also secured a MAJOR block of rooms at the Loews which any of you who have been here know that place is the BOMB! If you want to stay close to the Clevelander, we have some lower priced hotels like the Kent and the Colony. And for those of you looking to stay in Ft Lauderdale, we are using The B Hotel over there. Each hotel option listed below will have a link to so can see more information about each property.

First, let me tell you that the center of it all in South Beach is The Clevelander! It’s the greatest bar in the world as far as I’m concerned as many of you have heard me talk about it on a regular basis. They were even one of the major sponsors of The Girls of The Green Legion 2011 Calendar, and I am thankful to be friends with the owners, managers, bartenders, servers, and security at this establishment. They all know what I do but none of them have ever seen it firsthand and I can’t tell you how excited they are as am I to finally showcase a little of what you guys all bring to the table. Bad news for everyone else is IF YOU AREN’T TRAVELING WITH US THIS TIME AROUND, THE LIKELIHOOD OF YOU STEPPING FOOT IN THE CLEVELANDER IS SLIM AND NONE! We will have that place at capacity from 11 AM until 5 AM every night including Saturday night when “The Cleve” kicks everyone out for The Green Legion Miami Pep Rally Party which I WILL have some surprises there I have yet to discuss. You won’t want to miss this one as we will also be closing off the entire block to get ready for this party and open it up so we have enough room.

Besides The Cleve, I am also working with some clubs which I will talk about once my arrangements are finalized. Those who love that scene will enjoy the hell out of what we are doing there. In addition to The Cleve being ONE of our “O”fficial Headquarters for the weekend and will be bringing a drink special to the table that will last the entire time you are there, my good friends Billy & John at The Alibi and Lost Weekends will be “Headquarters #2!!” It’s the only place you can get an authentic cheesesteak around here and it’s the perfect shithole dive bar with their sister watering hole, Kill Your Idol, next door! 5 pool tables, darts upstairs, and some of the friendliest bartenders in South Beach!! We will also be working with Ted’s, The Playwright, Waxy O’Connor’s, Finnegan’s Ocean, and CJ’s Crab Shack!! You will love these places and point of interest…THIS IS SOUTH BEACH…IF YOU PLAN ON GOING HARD ANY OF THE NIGHTS YOU ARE HERE, I WILL LITERALLY SAVE YOU $50-$100 A NIGHT BY THE SPECIALS WE WILL HAVE SECURED AT THESE PLACES! Trust me, it can get expensive down here but I will not allow that to happen and make sure you are submersed in drink specials!

So, Friday, no bar crawl this time…you will just have these specials at all these locations the entire weekend and I recommend you jump from place to place. Regardless of what hotel you are staying in, all are within walking distance of each other!! Saturday morning, good luck as we all know no one will be awake with bars open ‘til 5 AM. Saturday afternoon, enjoy everything that the beach has to offer. I will be sitting at the Clevelander, lol! Saturday night, enjoy the “O”fficial Green Legion Miami Pep Rally Block Party!! Yeah, all those words! You can’t go wrong. Just remember though that the buses will leave at 8 AM on Sunday morning so good luck getting up in time. Our tailgate this year will be catered by our friends at The Alibi so you will have cheese steaks along with roast pork, wings, and all kinds of other good things!! All game tickets are located in the upper level end-zone, but by request, you can move down. I recommend you staying up top. It will be more fun up there!

Just so you know, rooms in South Beach are very small. Putting 4 people in a room will be tough but you are only there to sleep so those that do will be fine. You'll just become a little friendlier with your group, lol!
