I don't know about you but I've been waiting for this game for awhile. You do realize of course, this is a REVENGE game in its purest form. Not because of a loss earlier in the regular season. Not because of an early playoff exit. This is a game against a team who stole a dream from us! Yo Pats! Philly's coming! Watch out! This trip begins on Saturday morning when our flights depart out of Philly direct into Boston and also, our buses leave from McFadden's at the Ballpark. Take it easy Friday night because the buses will be leaving promptly at 7 AM. This is to make sure you maximize your day and get up to Boston by noon. Whatever you decide, there are three different modes of transportation provided for with this trip. You can fly. You can ride. Or you can drive yourself! It's nice to have a big road game that allows you all 3 of these choices. I only have 105 flight slots at this price so if you want to fly, get your deposit in now. When you arrive, you will find that our hotel is only a 3 mile ride from the airport and is a very nice hotel. We will be staying on the back bay at the Boston Park Plaza (http://www.bostonparkplaza.com). The hotel is a stones throw away from Boylston St. and also from Lansdowne St. We will of course be partying on Saturday night in the "UN"Official way we are accustomed to. The spot for the "UN"Official Pep Rally Party this year? The Cask'N'Flagon! This is a historic and AWESOME sports bar that the Phils Fever group frequented last year on their trip to see the Phillies play the Red Sox. Drink specials to come. If you have never been here, you will enjoy the hell out of this place. There are also many other bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the Cask'N'Flagon, as it sits just over the Green Monster in left field. Gilette Stadium in Foxboro is 23 miles from downtown Boston. There is nothing going on in Foxboro which is the reason we are staying where we are. At 2 PM, we will depart from the hotel on charter buses and head to Foxboro in hopes that we will arrive in style NO later than 3 PM. That should give everyone a good 4 hours of tailgate time. Obviously, you will have all the beer you can drink along with a nice food spread provided by Red Bones B-B-Q, a local Boston favorite. The menu will consist of barbecue chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw. After our victory, the buses will return to the Cask 'N' Flagon and drop anyone off who wants to continue to party. This is provided we get out of the stadium within a reasonable amount of time. The buses will then head back to the Park Plaza to drop of everyone who did not get off at the bar. The return trip takes place on Monday for everyone with smiles on our faces after we got a little bit of payback the night before!
