THE GREEN LEGION INVADES THE FROZEN TUNDRA!! - SEPTEMBER 9, 2007 *** SOLD OUT *** Well, the tundra may not be frozen that weekend, but nonetheless, we are coming in full force to kick the season off right. This is a great trip for a first timer and also for the absolute football purist. Much history in this place as this is the textbook version of a "football" town. This is evident as well by how difficult is was to secure hotel rooms in the town of Green Bay. Understand this people. This has been the hardest trip I have ever put together. This town is NUTS over football and especially NUTS over football weekends. Hotels are priced differently. You have a very difficult time getting in and out of town from other cities. And game tickets are not that easy to come by at the price I got them. If you consider yourself someone who loves the Eagles and also loves the game of football, this is an AWESOME trip to go on. I've been excited for this trip for two years. There will be 250,000 people there that love football just as much as you do. It's called Green Bay and it is a football town. Don't worry, I'm not converting. But give props where they are due. These people are nutty about their team. They have had the highest sell-out percentage out of ANY football team in the league for the last 15 years! There is something to be said for that. Ok, trip starts out on Friday as you fly from Philadelphia into Appleton, WI or Milwaukee, WI. So everyone knows, there are NO direct flights from Philly into this town. Green Bay is about a 35-40 minute drive from Appleton. You will connect in either Chicago or Minneapolis. I also have 100 spots direct into Milwaukee which is about a 2-hour drive from Green Bay. Consider that a two-hour drive would be the same as a connecting flight so this really isn't any different and you don't have to worry about a flight being delayed. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn City Center which is located all but three miles from the stadium. The town is not that big, so anywhere you want to go is pretty convenient. As you know, The Green Legion always has a bar crawl on a Friday night before a Sunday game. This will be no different here, I am just still in the process of locking down the bars I want to use. Same goes for the Saturday night's "UN"Official Pep Rally Party. As soon as I lock down the bar we are going to use, I will let you know. Sunday's tailgate party will start promptly at 9 AM. You will be bused from the hotel even though it is only 3 miles from the stadium. The tailgate location overlooks historic Lambeau Field and will be the closest party to the stadium (http://titletowntickets.com/tailgate_party/standard_tailgate_party/). If you click on the before-mentioned link, you will see the picture at the top of the website. It is where we will be. We will also be partying with Packer fans who by the way, are welcoming us with open arms. Should be a blast and there should be a little jawing! Keep it fun though people as that is what it should be. The party is catered by local favorite and former Green bay Packer, Fuzzy Thurston (http://www.fuzzybook.com). If you get a chance to read his story, it's pretty amazing. There you will be treated to an authentic Green Bay tailgate party with plenty of beer and bratwurst! There is an extensive menu for this tailgate party so please look below for that entire list. The location has been reserved for us and it will help you realize why you travel with The Green Legion every year as opposed to anyone else. Pricing for these packages are as follows: (All prices are per person) 4 people to a room - $740 per person Round-trip air from Philadelphia to Milwaukee or Appleton, WI. A $250 deposit is due upon booking PO Box 45 Liability Waiver E - A - G - L - E - S EAGLES!!!
