THE GREEN LEGION INVADES TAMPA AND CLEARWATER, OCTOBER 20-23rd!! Well this trip turned into a roller coaster ride already! First the Bucs weren't going to sell me tickets, and now they are. But, tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis and they went on sale yesterday (April 12). So here we go. If you are interested in this trip, you must book IMMEDIATELY!! There is a citywide convention in town that weekend which is great because it is giving us the excuse to stay in Clearwater. Not only are we staying in Clearwater, but we are staying at Shephard's (http://www.shephards.com) on the water. This place ROCKS!! Go to the website so you know what I am talking about. They have a total entertainment complex right at the hotel with a cool lounge, a tiki bar outside, and a huge nightclub called The Wave. There is live music everyday and even a bikini contest over the weekend. As a result of the lack of inexpensive available air, I have confided once again in my troops over at Air Tran to help me with this situation. Right now, I have an ENTIRE connecting flight on Friday going into Tampa through Atlanta. This is 137-passenger flight. Air Tran has assured me that if we can be a bit flexible on the time we leave, they will turn that flight into a DIRECT flight instead of stopping in Atlanta. Hence, Green Legion Airways!! Nice part for us is I know they are going to do it because they save on fuel and airport taxes if they do. Also, since I have the entire plane, there will be a lottery drawing about two weeks before the game and I will randomly select 12 people per flight to fly first class (actually considered business class on Air Tran). Good times!! As usual, you will be traveling via charter bus to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday morning with beverages provided by myself. When we arrive, the fun really begins. Since the Bucs will not sell you tickets without a hospitality package, our tailgate will be in the large tailgate tent where you will have all the beer you can drink and a better tailgate spread as far as food goes than I could ever do on my own. I think the package is overpriced, but it is an excellent layout. Also, there should be plenty of troops wearing green under that tent and should make for an awesome time! The Bucs will lose home field advantage at least in the parking lot that day! Keep in mind that prices for this trip are pretty high due to the tailgate package I had to purchase and the increased airfare amongst all the airlines. If by any chance you feel you can do better on any of the different aspects, I will subtract that dollar amount accordingly. Pricing for this trip is as follows: 4 people to a room - $765 All packages include: For more information about this trip, please contact Quimby at miteyquim@msn.com or at 267 259-3237.
