The Green Legion Invades Dalls on October 9th!!! Just got back from Dallas and did all my homework and this trip is going to be better than last years!! I was very concerned about changing hotels from last year. I visited the hotel we are staying at this year and I couldn't be happier. The hotel is just as nice and we are moving up to Addison. We will be staying at the Hotel Intercontinental, which is a smaller chain of upper-echelon hotels. There is a pool and a very large hot tub connected to a courtyard where we will be holding our open bars, weather permitting. OK...WHY WILL THIS YEAR BE BETTER THAN LAST??? There are a bunch of reasons. The first is because the second you step out of the hotel, you are surrounded by 170 bars and restaurants!! Not to mention for the ladies, more shopping than you know what to do with. I'm looking at a map of Addison right now and it makes the Inner Harbor look like a charity case. I was also there on Monday night. I went to a place called Sherlock's. They had live music on a Monday night with a huge crowd. This place was approximately 2-3 blocks from the hotel. I will be setting up bar crawls and parties again. Addison is also a hot spot for locals. In addition to that, we will be going to Dallas during the Texas/Oklahoma University football game affectionately referred to as the Red River Game. According to all sources in Dallas, this weekend is nothing but ridiculous. There should be plenty of Cowboy haters down there NOT wearing green. We'll all have something in common. I met with the Cowboy's organization again yesterday and we'll have as many tickets as we need. They were very pleased with the "good nature" of our group last year and look forward to seeing us again this year (for another ass-whoopin'). All in all, this weekend should be a blast. To make things easier, since the game is on Sunday this year, we will all return on Monday. This particular Monday happens to be Columbus Day. This means a lot of you will not have to worry about taking the day off. Also, the game doesn't start until 3:15 Central time. We won't have to worry about waking up too early to get to the stadium. Instead, we will have a Mimosa and Bloody Mary happy hour at the hotel from 9 AM until 10 AM and then load the buses to go drink some more. All good stuff. I know my last email was a bit confusing. I've tried to simplify this as best I can. These package prices include air and any pre-season ticket you would have to purchase. In other words, these are final prices.
